  • Identify and select a faculty mentor with the help of the program coordinator
  • Develop a research plan and submit to the program coordinator for approval
  • Participate in a research experience
  • Participate in program meetings
  • Complete BIOL 420: Prep for a Career in Biology
  • Apply for an summer internship
  • Attend SACNAS or ABRCMS
Spring
  • Meet with program coordinator to review Individualized Development Plan
  • Participate in a research experience
  • Participate in program meetings
  • Present research progress at the Haskell / KU Research Symposium

     

  • Apply for SACNAS travel scholarship
Summer
  • Participate in a research experience or internship
  • Participate in program meetings
  • Present research progress at the SELF Symposium in July

     

  • Submit a curriculum plan for the upcoming year
 

Junior Year

Fall

  • Enroll in ENGR 360: Engineering Seminar (if applicable)
Spring
